Softeon Inc. today announced that it has expanded into a new Atlanta office, which opened last month. The company said it is a Tier 1 warehouse management system, or WMS, provider focused on making warehouses and fulfillment centers more efficient.
Reston, Va.-based Softeon said its Atlanta office will serve as an additional hub for employees to provide quality service to its customers. It will also better position the company for future growth.
“Softeon is focused on providing value for our current and future customers, and the best way to do that is to bring on the best talent in the industry,” said Jim Hoefflin, CEO of Softeon, in a release. “Atlanta is known as a hub for supply chain talent, and we intend to leverage this strength and build our team and culture with the right mix of talent, all with the goal of delivering limitless WMS solutions that continue to meet the complex warehousing and fulfillment needs of businesses.”

Softeon grows its supply chain presence
Softeon said that Atlanta’s growth as a supply chain hub and industry leadership influenced its choice of the city for its new location. More than 75% of Fortune 1,000 companies have a presence in the area.
Atlanta also meets Softeon’s stated goals of providing better support to customers while leaving room for growth in an area known for its WMS and supply chain talent.
“The value we deliver is directly related to the growth we are experiencing, so our partners up and down the supply chain should feel very confident about Softeon’s future,” Hoefflin said. “We continue to bring innovative solutions to market that help supply chain leaders optimize their distribution and warehouse operations.”
Softeon claimed that the new office opening starts a period of significant growth and expansion. The announcement followed its latest WMS and warehouse execution system (WES) update and rebranding in December 2023.
The company said the product updates show how it is preparing customers to meet current and future needs. These needs can include robotic interfaces and other implementation capabilities for the growing warehouse automation sector.
Inside Softeon’s product offerings
Softeon offers WMS, WES, and distributed order management systems (DOM). The company said its WES plays a critical role in maintaining the operational equilibrium of a warehouse.
The system can identify bottlenecks and optimize productivity throughout facilities, according to Softeon. Its rules-based engine can serve as customers’ command center, ensuring that orders are routed efficiently. It can also adapt and redirect in real-time as demand changes, said the company.
Softeon added that its WMS is focused on optimizing warehouse operations with the goal of offering customers freedom and tailored precision. Clients can craft unique workflows that align with their business requirements, it asserted. The company said the WMS can micro-tune workflows so it can better enhance productivity and ensure businesses operate at peak efficiency.
In addition, Softeon said its DOM can enhance customers’ order-fulfillment capabilities. The system is designed to enable users to automate and optimize fulfillment processes while working with their existing systems.
DOM can acts as a centralized order hub to accommodate both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) ecosystems, said Softeon.
