Jungheinrich has had shares in Magazino since 2020, and in 2022 it increased its ownership to 21.7%, and now it’s increasing its ownership again.

Magazino received its largest single order for its autonomous mobile robot.

The German shoe manufacturer LLOYD Shoes GmbH uses the mobile picking robot TORU from the robotics company Magazino.

In this video, you can see a demonstration with a prototype of the mobile robot SOTO 2 from Magazino interacting with a Karakuri shelf. The SOTO 2 is picking, transporting and putting down small load carriers from MIELE.

The SOTO2, an upgrade from the SOTO, brings materials to the assembly line completely autonomously, with even more transport capacity, omnidirectional drive and improved handling.

Magazino has closed a Series B financing round of €21 million. Jungheinrich AG and the European Investment Bank (EIB) are leading the round, with existing investors also participating. The capital raised will be used to expand international sales activities and above all to accelerate the expansion of the “ACROS.AI” software stack.

Magazino announced today that they are offering a pay-per-pick business model for their TORU autonomous mobile robot.
