Bear Robotics announced the launch of a new robot, Servi Plus, an extension to its existing product line of front-of-house restaurant delivery robots. The new platform has a bigger payload capacity, enhanced user experience features and the smoothest suspension engineering in the industry for transporting liquids and traversing ramps.
Servi Plus features an expanded 40kg (88 lb) payload and a 16+ dish capacity. Servi Plus is the bigger sibling to the existing Servi solution and is useful for automating repetitive work like delivering orders to patrons at their tables and then bussing dishes. This enables the human team members to focus on guest satisfaction.
In addition to improved carrying capacity, the Servi Plus has a new liquid delivery algorithm that enables the robot to move, for example, an open glass of water to a table without spilling it. This means it can go over a wide range of floors, thresholds, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramps. This new product can hold up to four large serving trays or bus tubs and can be adjusted to hold trays in different ways.
Finally, Servi Plus is equipped with an improved set of visual and user experience enhancements, including a full perimeter of responsive LED lighting for visibility and communication. The robot also features an LCD display for additional communication with patrons.
“This addition to our product line is something our entire company is very proud to launch,” says Juan Higueros, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Bear Robotics. “It is a testament to our team’s ability to collaborate with our partners and support them by bringing products to market that immediately fit their operational needs.”
