Bossa Nova's Fleet is Large Enough to Support Additional Regional Support Team Growth
Bossa Nova Robotics is a leading provider of real-time, on-shelf product data for the global retail industry. Their robots navigate the busy retail ecosystem, collecting a wealth of data that allows retailers to improve product availability, streamline operations, and create a better shopping experience. Bossa Nova’s robots are currently deployed in 50 stores across the United States, making it one of the largest deployments for retail mobile robots solutions.
That growth is now translating into a need for additional field service technicians to help train and maintain the fleet of in store robots.
A Sign of Real Growth
Here at The Mobile Robot Guide, we see a lot of marketing messages from vendors about their market leadership. We also religiously monitor the job boards for job posting by the companies that we follow. We believe that a sign of current and future growth comes when a company opens the hiring spigot to add talent to their team.
And so it is with Bossa Nova. We noticed this week a fresh set of openings for field service technicians, posted around the USA. Note that Bossa Nova use a Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) business model. Key to a RaaS business model is the fact that all of the robots in the field are vendor owned assets. This means that Bossa Nova is 100% responsibile for the care and feeding of these machines. The investment in regionally located field service technicians is an indicator that Bossa Nova has large enough fleets in the field to support the salaries of these regional technicians.
Here's a list of the locations for the Bossa Nova field service technicians:
In addition, Bossa Nova is hiring a Supervisor of Robot Operations Center. We assume that this job is to support expansion of their ROC with all of the robots in the field.
This news is good news for Bossa Nova. It's proof of their growth and acceptance of their solution in the market.
