Brain Corp and its Partner SoftBank Robotics Corp. Enter Japan’s Commercial Cleaning Market

San Diego, Ca, Sept. 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Brain Corp, an AI company specializing in the development of self-driving technology for robots, announced today that effective August 1, 2018 it entered the Japanese robotics market in partnership with SoftBank Robotics Corp. (“SoftBank Robotics”). Together, the two companies will address gaps in Japan’s commercial cleaning workforce with SoftBank Robotics’ robotic floor scrubber powered by BrainOS. The first SoftBank Robotics’ product integrated with Brain’s autonomous navigation technology will be the ICE RS26 floor scrubber. “We are thrilled to roll out our autonomous technology in the Japanese market, which has traditionally been ahead of the robotics curve,” says Brain Corp Co-Founder and CEO, Dr. Eugene Izhikevich. “Last year, we announced our goal of entering the market by summer 2018 and we are excited by the momentum. By bringing our autonomous technology to Japan, Brain Corp and SoftBank Robotics will help the commercial cleaning industry increase productivity and better support its existing workforce to make up for severe labor shortages. Japan represents our first international market for BrainOS-powered robots.” BrainOS, Brain Corp’s award-winning AI platform, comes fully integrated with automated driverless technology. Cleaning professionals can program a route after an initial ride then activate driverless floor cleaning with the press of the “Blue Autonomy” button. The self-driving machine uses multiple sensors to scan its surroundings for people and obstacles.
